The book entitled "The introduction to the positron
annihilation spectroscopy in solid state" was written in
polish language for Ph.D. students and beginners who
start their job in the positron annihilation spectroscopy.
The physical background of the positrons annihilation
in the solid state was put forward clearly. The measure-
ments techniques were presented and many examples
of experimental results taken from the literature and
the own studies of the author were described. In the
book one can find the present status of the world
literature concerning the positron annihilation.
The book has 227 pages and 79 pictures.

The second book is dedicated to students and
specialists who are familiar with the positron
annihilation spectroscopy and need to increase
their knowledge about this method. I paid attention
on the link between the measured physical
characteristics and the microstructure of studied
samples. Several original concepts are considered:
trapping and detrapping of positrons from the open
volume defects, diffusion of positrons and its
application to the study of grained materials.
Some information about the positron beam
techniques is also given.
The book is written in polish language
and contains 209 pages and 61 figures
